the way life goes

not everyone can be a doctor or a dentist
not everyone can get perfect grades
the way it goes,
it also means
not everyone who can get perfect grades can be a doctor or dentist

not to say that everyone wants to be a doctor or dentist,
but these people complaining about there not being enough places in public unis,
here's what i say,
Welcome to this dream we call Life.

not everyone can get everything they want

i didn't get what i wanted to study
as in.. not only are there not enough places but in fact there is only ONE public uni
which provides the program and get this,
Its not even recognised by the world professional body anyway
the only way then?
overseas?
my only problem,
moolah
so?
i cry
and get on with it

listen babes,
just cos u got perfect grades,
don't mean u get everything you want.

if you really are that damn smart,
get a scholarship
or better yet,
the government provides loans to students to study med in private unis in the country.
so i don't get it..
why are you complaining?

not getting into med school in a public uni (just cos you got them grades)
doesn't really mean anything.
go study somethingelse,
go try some place else,
or if one REALLY wanted to do the damn med school..
go study something else and enter a postgraduate med program.
same result.

quit complaining.
loads of other ppl don't have perfect grades and their choices are less
loads of other ppl don't get into med school
and they ain't crying their asses off..
and plus,
loads of other ppl get into med school and don't make it out

so what's my point?
not everyone gets into med school
whether the country needs more doctors or not is irrelevant.
the criteria for med school is different
as it should be
otherwise a clever nutcase could get into med school
and imagine the havoc when s/he grads
and just cos the country needs more doctors by itself is not a sufficient cause for increasing the number of places in med school.
lots of other things factor in seeing as this is a public health service
somethings, perhaps those outside the profession could not even possibly begin to understand

we don't all get what we want all the time
we cry about it
get over it
and if we still Really really want it,
we try again
and again
or we try a different way
so quit complaining and do something about it

places in the private unis are not to say unlimited also
the process of getting the govt loans is not to say one day either
get moving
hut hut hut!
