true friends

i have lots of good friends
but true friends?
perhaps i am blessed for i have quite a few

true friends by definition
go all out to help you when u need them
and their loyalty knows no bounds

my friends know they can rely on me for that
for my friends
i will go all out to help them

but you know,
the definition of a true friend often excludes a very important ingredient
the desire to see your friends happy

my friends tell me
you are lucky you have someone you love
and then when things get a little tough
and i am being stupid
they tell me
stop being a stupid ass and see what you have
and don't give up on your love
just because you are being stupid

now, that's a true friend

i hope for dah that he has true friends too,
friends who have the balls to say
stop being an idiot
when he needs to be told he is an idiot
and friends who have the compassion to say
i'm very glad to see you happy
when times are good

actually i wish that for all my friends

unfortunately
there are 'friends' out there
who have no gumption to do that
the fools who will instead say
yeah, you've found love or you've found happiness
but when there's a few bumps in the road
shit.. that's crap man...
you feel like bailing? yeah man... maybe you should bail...
these kind of people?
i wish for you true love
to show you your folly
when you too will begin to wish you had true friends

Thank You to all my wonderful friends out there
people who have the guts to say to me
you've found happiness and love now hold on
and don't let go when things get rough
because you think life always smooth sailing ar? so stupid :P
who have the strength to push me on
when i feel weak
the courage to see me through
when i am down
the heart to wish me happiness
on the rocky road of life and love

i'll be there when you need me
