amber alert

sounds cool? sounds chic? sounds safe?
well...... apparently amber alert is set up in california in the USA for children.
it appears that when a child under the age of 18 goes missing, the details are immediately reported on TV, radio, internet and on electronic traffic signs ...... it appears that the program started just last week and has been quite successful.

well. at least Amber's death was not for nothing.
my only hope for this system is that it is not overused such that people become immune to it and its eficacy is lost.
