Simba ~ a memoriam
i used to have a dog which we named simba,
he was a german spitz, a furry white color, a sharp face (not as sharp as goku's tho) with ears that stand up and a tail that curled over his back. He was named Simba because we thought he looked rather like a white lion and in the Lion kiing, Simba was wise and strong in the end.
He was the eldest brother of my other dog goku which was born in the same litter, simba was the eldest and goku was the youngest.
being the eldest dog, simba was noticeably bigger than goku. He ate more and, in fights over food, always won. However simba was also the more affectionate. He was the 'tai tou' when they went out, leading the way with goku happily following. Simba was not as smart as goku, he was slower in his thinking, never understanding any of the commands we gave him, except to sit and to answer to his name ( in that instance taking the lead from goku). he was happy go lucky, never really saddened for long by anything. a bouncy little thing and not as moody as goku.
Simba did not have a long life, he was about 2 or 3 years when he was afflicted with a viral disease that in the beginning made half of his face twitch. we took him to the vet, the first vet was a shit of a vet but we did not know, he applied anitbiotics which stemmed the twitching a little, but soon he began to tire of the twitching and it was taking its toll, he was not as bouncy as before. so we took him to another vet who put him on iv drip. that did not help. the virus soon spread and he was taking to fits. the vet said he could not be saved so he was put to sleep on the same day that i had my first interview with a celebrity (two world famous badminton players).
i do not know why but today simba suddenly appeared in my thoughts again. we do miss him. i do wish we could've had his body to bury outside the house but the vet counselled that it would not be wise as the virus may spread to other dogs, including goku, that way. well, never mind, he's in my memory and i do hope he's as happy as before where ever he is now.
